Economic Development Authority of the City of Norfolk, Virginia has applied for the construction of the Norfolk Multi Use Heavy Lift Logistics Port to be partially funded by United States Maritime Administration (MARAD) under the Port Infrastructure Development Program. The project will area is a portion of the former Lambert’s Point facility.

This project is being evaluated under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines and the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations 40 CFR Parts 1500-1508 (with applicable revisions and orders), and will evaluate for social, economic, environmental, legal, and safety considerations. The public is invited to participate in the process of reviewing the project and analyzing their impacts.
